- Queso for a Cause: The last day to purchase tickets for the Helping Hands of West Queso for a Cause dinner is tomorrow, February 20, 2026. The QR code for tickets is located on the West ISD social media pages.
- Spring Break: Spring Break is fast approaching. The dates are Monday, March 9, through Monday, March 16, 2026. Monday, March 16, is a staff training/work day and student holiday.
- Life Touch Photography: The district is still awaiting direction from Life Touch on the next steps for spring pictures and yearbooks. More info to come!
- After Hours Transportation Hotline Number: As a reminder for all bus riders, the "after hours" (after 4:00 PM) transportation phone number is (254) 981-2009. This phone number rings directly to D. Truitt, Superintendent.
- Social Media Posts vs. Contacting the District: Replying to a ParentSquare or calling the district or campus directly is always the best routes for questions, concerns, or information over posting or messaging on social media. The district does not always see the posts or messages and may be missing out on your important questions or concerns. The phone number for the West ISD Administration Building is (254) 981-2000. - School Bus Stop Reminders: Here recently, the district's bus drivers have noticed an uptick in drivers around West failing to stop when a West ISD school bus is loading or unloading bus riders. As a reminder, it is state law that all traffic, regardless of direction, must stop for a school bus with flashing red lights and an extended stop sign, as this indicates children are boarding or exiting. Then, all traffic must not proceed until the lights stop flashing, the sign is retracted, and the bus moves. Please help spread the word!
