District Updates
  • District Athletics Accolade: Friday night's victory over McGregor High School was the 500th win in the history of West High School. The district would like to thank the current and former players, coaches, and families on this special achievement.
  • Friday Incident: Last Friday, September 12, 2025, the West ISD Police Department responded to a 911 call that involved a vehicle on two different campuses. The district would like to thank the many parents who were in the carpool lines when this incident took place. Also, the district would like to thank each Police Officer for their quick and professional response.
  • Random Student Drug Testing: Today, Monday, September 15, 2025, was the district's first Grades 7-12 random student drug testing day for any selected student who drives to campus or takes part in an extracurricular activity. Please know the roughly 60 students who took part did a great job. The district should receive the results later this week.
  • New Websites: The district's new ParentSquare-based websites are now live, but still need to be updated in several areas. Please continue to be patient with us as we make this transition.
  • Required Consent Forms: The 89th Legislative session brought with it several new student consent form legal requirements for the district. The district is now required to have all parents/guardians approve their students for counseling, health (nursing) services, and extracurricular activity participation. Both the counseling and health services forms have been sent out via ParentSquare. This week, you will see the extracurricular activity form.
