Since joining the West Family in 2013, I have experienced what it truly means to work within a community that is resilient in beliefs and educational support. I take great pride in being able to come to work and interact with students, faculty, staff, and community members who place the students of West ISD as their number one priority on a daily basis.
My educational journey started after graduating from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with emphasis on mathematics. From there, I returned home to Waco, Texas, and taught within the Waco ISD school system for four years. During my tenure at Waco, I entered the Tarleton State University Master’s program in Educational Administration and graduated in 2012. I knew that my impact with students could reach far beyond the classroom if given the right tools or opportunities. That is when I was offered the opportunity to join West ISD as assistant principal at the middle school campus. At the middle school campus, I worked with the staff and students for two years before transitioning to the elementary campus as principal.
Since the first day of school, I knew that the 2015-2016 school year would be phenomenal. I am excited to be able to work with such a dedicated staff and students who view education as the highlight of their day.
I look forward to working alongside of you as parents and community members as we strive as a team to help every student reach their full potential and build future leaders. We invite you to join us at extra-curricular events, as well as campus events as we showcase the talents of students at West Elementary School. The students here are truly a tribute to the shared partnerships between community and school.
Thank you for your continued support, and as always, I am eager to see what this upcoming year holds for the community of West and our talented students. Please let me know how I can better serve you. Feel free to contact me at any time at 254-981-2120 or by email at email@example.com.
